Responsibilities

• Ensuring all products sent out of kitchen meet Boston Pizza specifications

• Confirming invoicing is correct for all product orders

• Issuing food when it has been properly and completely accounted for on a customer bill and chit from remote printer

• Help control food costs, maintain kitchen equipment and implement kitchen controls

• Ensure products are properly dated, stored and rotated to ensure food safety

• Maintain a high level of product and recipe knowledge, as well as assembly and plating specifications

• Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner

• Assist in the training and development of new kitchen employees

• Follow and prepare daily prep sheets to indicated product levels on hand and amount required for daily operations

• Maintaining organization and cleanliness in the Heart of House area

• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must be bondable

• Completion of High School

• Experience in restaurant cooking, or other commercial cookery will be necessary (certificates and/or letters required) OR minimum 2 years’ experience in culinary training

• Excellent communication skills

• Open availability for days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary

• Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

• Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment

• Ability to problem solve and account for guest allergies and concerns

• Maintain professionalism, cleanliness and personal hygiene at all times
